"The World's Fastest Growing Tourism Destinations"

For todays Monday Travel Motivation I wanted to share a quick video from Afar Media. It’s short and sweet and tells some quick facts on the fastest growing tourism spots (ahem, the title of their video and this post). Here’s a quick quote from their video as well,

To discover the places that only in-the-know travelers are visiting, we dug into the data to find the countries that saw the largest percentage change in international arrival growth between 2017 and 2018. Some spots like Vietnam, Nepal, and Egypt topped the list of fastest-growing destinations once again. Others like Comoros, a small island nation in eastern Africa, truly took us by surprise. But the most shocking addition to this year’s list is the country that took the number one spot.

Please, have a look at their video and leave some thoughts and comments if you feel so inclined.

Are any of your travel destinations this year on their list? Personally, two locations from my past are on the list (Egypt and Turkey) and I highly recommend a visit.

Thanks for reading/watching. I hope you feel some inspiration for the start of your week.

Todays MTM is all about basic travel essentials. I have recommendations for just about everything, but today I want to share some of my favorites that you may need on the flight (or handy and easy to grab when you're on the road). If you're on my email list you had access to a few of these items and information last week. If you're not, go to the top of the sidebar on the right to sign up!

Personally, these items are a must for me. Having energy, being well prepared with snacks, and having optimal health is key. Whether I'm going international or staying within state lines I am very particular about what I bring with me. Here are a few items you may need;

Motion Sickness Patches - because that's never fun.

Sea Sick Bands - for the water nerves.

Vitamin C - to keep the sniffs at bay (non GMO as well if you were curious).

Germ X Wipes - for all my germaphobes out there.

Ear Plugs - I know I'm not the only one with ear/sinus struggles when I travel.

Blueberry Luna Bars - These taste like blueberry Poptarts but are gluten free and actually good for you. They're my perfect snack/breakfast item on the run.

Alba Hawaiian Face Wipes - They're 3-in-1 so less hassle = less stress while roaming about.

Alba Sunscreen for your body - This is non comedogenic (aka won't be gross and clog your pores).

Sunscreen specifically for your face - One of my favorite brands for sensitive skin Cetaphil made this little gem.

Leave a comment for what you can't travel without. As always, safe travels and I look forward to hearing where you go next!

"Mood"

The word "mood" can be used to describe a multitude of things in more recent times. Your actual set of emotions, the vibe in your home decor, the filter over a photo, the essence of a particular scene or landscape - it has become very versatile. Whether you're annoyed with the word because of overuse or have slipped it into your daily diction it definitely has a tone. Things that seem more dreary, foggy, and subdued are perfect candidates for this word. There are those who have described personal aesthetics with it and have come to endear the "mood".

Millennials alone have seemed to boost the popularity of this word (as most slang goes) and there doesn't seem to be any signs of stopping. Here, in the photo provided, is a little look into a view I had awhile back in Colorado. An early morning with misty fog is an early morning I will always tend to. The rain was coming in at a delicate speed and everything seemed very still and peaceful.

I can't say that my mood is always so serene, but I really appreciate it when it is.
