Senior Photos with Your Friends

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Clara Bradford took the honor of being my first senior photo session back in 2011. She had faith in my photography skills, but we also had an opportunity to have a lot of fun. Working with models and otherwise strangers can be a daunting thing and it's not for everyone. I'll be honest in saying it used to make me uncomfortable, but now I have little fear when getting the chance to meet someone new and make something special for them.

Senior photos are also one of those things that photographers sometimes think they're "above" doing. I've noticed this from time to time that my peers will roll their eyes at these bookings. Granted, I am no longer a peer to a senior in high school, but I think it's still a chance to make a friend. If you're not enjoying your work in this realm then maybe you should reevaluate.

Because these years seem to flash in front of our eyes I like to remind people that it's ok to hold on to certain things. Frame your photos, create something with the candid shots, scrapbook, or maybe burn the photos in a fire once they're in the yearbook for all to see - who knows! This is why I've included some personal picks so that you have options if you want to create more.

Personally, the copper geometric frame is my favorite and the wooden frame is calling to my nature side.
