What you see here, quite frankly, is a deer jaw. I wish I could say that it died peacefully and was perhaps just decaying, but the truth is that where my brother and I found this is the stomping grounds of a very large cat.
When I was younger we moved a bit, but I always found forests to explore and wooded areas to create "hideaways". I was thrilled to go out with my friends and find things in the woods. One of my dearest friends who I consider blood, Dzenita, would frequent these trips with me. We would find jaws, half decayed legs, ribs, and lots of spines. Presumably, these were all from deer but of course as young girls we would freak ourselves out into thinking otherwise.
Naturally, I have found other things in my small wanderings. These explorations that I'm talking about here were nothing more than leaving my own backyard area or neighborhood. Across the seas, well, I found other things.
